We are often asked what is the right time to buy for Mother of the Bride/Mother of the Groom. We have laid out a couple of points below which may be helpful.

It will depend very much on the date and season of the wedding that you are attending. For Summer weddings, it is wise to begin looking for your outfit between December and March. This may seem very early, but it is because the new deliveries for the Summer generally arrive between these dates. We do receive some Summer deliveries as early as November, particularly from the very specialist Mother of the Bride companies such as Condici and Paule Vasseur, so feel free to  call us and start making enquiries around this time, it is perfectly normal, believe it or not!

Our advice is always to start as early as possible, as we usually only have one of each size in an outfit, so once an outfit is gone in a particular size, we often cannot order more. If you are the sort of person who loves to be organised, and are very specific about what you want, you will find more choice at the begining of the season.

For Autumn/Winter weddings, new styles generally arrive between end of July and September, and the same advice applies.
